Picking Locks
Today I learned how to pick a lock. The door to my temporary home office is funny in that it can lock after being opened from the inside (the side that lets you twist the thing to lock the handle) and closed from the outside...I locked myself out. The keys were of course locked inside as well, so I really had no choice but to get paperclips (based on my vague recollection of how locks are picked), check YouTube for tutorial videos on lock-picking, and play lock-picking YouTube Shorts until I jiggled one of the paperclips long enough to eventually turn the door handle all the way (oh yeah!).
It was a fulfilling reminder that working within limitations can actually yield some pretty dope results, like now knowing how to pick a lock!
